XPON, analysis and demonstration of a seeded switched passive optical network uplink

Samenvatting

A novel design for a passive optical network, switch PON (XPON), is proposed. Unique characteristics are highlighted and system simulations are performed. XPON is compared with GPON, EPON and seeded WDM PON. A testbed is built for demonstrating XPON uplink functionality
