Samenvatting

NaY supported Mo or Ni sulfide catalysts prepared by impregnation, ion exchange or gas phase deposition followed by various pretreatment procedures show different catalytic properties in thiophene hydrodesulfurization. These differences are discussed in terms of degree of sulfidation, metal sulfide distribution and dispersion.
