Samenvatting

Normative standard methods for validating the performance of reverberation chambers are based on a mixture of field anisotropy and field inhomogeneity contributions. We investigate alternative metrics that enable both aspects of field nonuniformity to be separated. The results are particularly relevant to EUTs that do not fit inside the working volume, including floor-standing equipment subjected to statistical field inhomogeneity caused by boundary conditions, and electrically large EUTs with considerable variations in the location-to-location field statistics, even within the working volume.
