Samenvatting
An interleaved buck converter is used to generate the currents needed to perform Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy on a medium-size battery pack. The requirements and selected topology are described together with the choice of control method and its implementation. Results of simulation experiments are shown and compared to the results obtained using the hardware set-up. The results show that the converter is suitable for its purpose, generating the desired signals with adequate quality. An example of the measured battery impedance trajectory is included.

Financiering
This project has received funding from the ECSEL Joint Undertaking (JU) under grant agreement No 101007281. The JU receives support from the European Union s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme and Austria, Germany, Slovenia, Netherlands, Belgium, Slovakia, France, Italy, Turkey. Special thanks are due to mr. Cuong Hoang who reconstructed the converter hardware [17], to the staff of TNO in Helmond, NL for using their facilities for performing the battery experiments, and to the staff of NXP to set up the instrumentation.
