Samenvatting

In today’s dynamic environment, organizations seek new ways of creating value by collaborating in networks and leveraging advances in digital technologies. At the core of this transformation lies the need for organizations to innovate their business model and adapt their operations. The implementation of changes in a business model involves the redesign of underlying business processes. Therefore, it is crucial to understand how specific changes in a business model’s elements affect the underlying business processes. However, analyzing the relationship between an organization’s business model and supporting business processes is challenging. This study provides an overview and synthesis of the relationships between the elements of a business model and related business processes. We identified, classified, and described these relationships through a systematic literature review and qualitative content analysis. Our study contributes to research by providing a detailed insight into how business models and business processes can be bridged.
