Samenvatting
In this research, the transfer of supraharmonic (SH) distortions through a transformer from the low-voltage (LV) to the medium-voltage (MV) and from the MV to (another) LV grid is studied, based on measurements on both voltage levels in a laboratory installation with 3 transformers ≥ 1 MVA. SH
currents are injected using an SH emitting device. It is found that SH distortions propagate with a ratio between 0.03 and 1.0 from LV to MV and that some of the components propagate more easily, probably due to resonances. From MV to LV the transfer ratio is between 0.5 and 3.0, and some components are amplified. The results show that supraharmonics can propagate through transformers and that the possibility of interference with other LV installations exists.
