Samenvatting

Diffusion magnetic resonance imaging tractography is a powerful imaging technique that allows for the visualization of white matter tracts in the brain. This technique has become increasingly important in recent years as a way to study the structural connectivity of the brain and to investigate a wide range of neurological disorders. In this chapter, we introduce and describe some of the common methods for visualizing complex tractography data in the form of streamlines. We also discuss some of the challenges and limitations associated with streamline rendering, as well as recent developments in the visualization field.
