Samenvatting
We propose the use of an array of six surface grating couplers arranged in a “windmill” shape for the optical wireless communication receiver for the added “yaw” dimension of the field-of-view of the receiver. The array has a loss of 25 dB which is 18 dB larger than the loss of individual grating coupler. We demonstrate error-free transmission of 1 Gbps and 10 Gbps below FEC level.
