Samenvatting

A surface modified third generation poly(propylene imine) dendrimer 1 is studied by 1D and 2D NMR techniques on a 400 MHz spectrometer. The binding properties of 1 with a phosphonic acid guest mol., 2, are investigated. Proton and carbon resonance assignments were made with the help of 1D proton, and 2D 1H-1H-TOCSY and 1H-13C-HSQC and HMBC expts. The specific proton-proton interactions in the complex were identified from the 2D 1H-1H ROESY expt. The ROESY spectrum indicates the specific binding interactions of dendrimer 1 with the guest mols. 2.
