Samenvatting

Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) is a logical consequence of the digital sound carriers such as Compact Disc and Digital Compact Cassette. In a later stage it may replace the traditional radio systems such as FM, leading to CD quality audio reception under almost all circumstances. The authors describe the design issues of a channel decoder for a DAB receiver and its path to an efficient ASIC implementation.
