Samenvatting
In this study, we investigate whether data collected on route knowledge is influenced by the method of data collection. The results of stereoscopic panoramic interactive navigation re-enactment sessions and conventional paper and pencil maps are compared against observational tracing data of pedestrian route choice behavior in the city center of Eindhoven, The Netherlands. The findings of the study suggest that the data collected through maps better describe empirical observations of pedestrian route choice behavior that the data collected through stereoscopic panoramic interactive navigation sessions.
