Recommended mode of operation for the monitoring of grid-connected photovoltaic systems in the Netherlands

European guidelines for the analytic monitoring of PV systems are followed to monitor grid-connected PV systems in the Netherlands. The aim of a PV system monitoring program is to verify the predicted and desired energy yield, to determine the efficiencies of the system components, and to gain insight into the system performance. The title recommendation concerns the definition of quantities and terminology, the set-up of the monitoring system, the processing of the measured data, definition and determination of indicators for the operation of a photovoltaic (PV) power system (efficiency, performance ratio, etc.), presentation of the results in the form of tables and graphics, a format for data exchange. 4 refs.
