    Samenvatting

    The nonrandom mixing version of the Holey-Huggins theory is used to ext. mol. parameters from the exptl. equation of state data of polystyrene (I), poly(p-bromostyrene), and a random p-bromostyrene-styrene copolymer (II) of known compn. With these parameters upper crit. miscibility behavior, in qual. agreement with exptl. observations, is prediced for I-II blend. Quant. agreement can be obtained for the equation of state and miscibility behavior if small changes in the values of the cross parameters are allowed. [on SciFinder (R)]
