Microgrids are receiving increasing attention as a result of the growing attractiveness of small-scale electricity generation. The authors have developed a pilot test site in the framework of the European project MORE MICROGRIDS, aiming at proving the technical feasibility of the microgrid control concepts on a utility scale. Much attention was devoted to practical aspects of the implementation.
