Samenvatting
The dynamic modulation transfer function (DMTF) is proposed to characterize the temporal behavior of LCDs. It is based on a sequence of temporal luminance transition measurements, from which the apparent image is calculated. The results of two perception experiments show that the model correlates well with perception, except for quasi-static patterns. Model predictions, based on measured impulse responses, are less accurate.
