Samenvatting

A finite element model is presented to analyze the metal blanking process in order to predict the properties of blanked products. An elasto-viscoplastic finite element model is applied, in which the occurring extremely large deformations are handled by an Operator Splitted Arbitrary Lagrange Euler method combined with remeshing. Ductile fracture is incorporated by a discrete crack approach. To demonstrate the possibilities of the procedure, some simulation results are presented.
