    Samenvatting

The report is intended for anyone who is interested in model-based systems engineering, particularly in how to efficiently manage shared, multi-disciplinary information useful for synthesis of complex, mechatronics systems such as those developed by Océ. Of course, the capacity for reasoning at a sufficient level of abstraction is assumed. The text has been structured in such a way that the reader is smoothly led from problem to solution. The executive summary on Page iv gives a concise overview of the domain, problem, solution, and results. Moreover, sufficient technical details are included in appropriate chapters for the reader who is more interested in how the solution presented was arrived at. To further enhance the reading experience, an extended reading guide is included on Page 4. That guide gives the reader a better indication of sections that they may find interesting for initial reading based on their specific objectives.
