Samenvatting

Chemical reactions induced by the presence of surfaces, such as recombination, adsorption or neutralisation, can under certain circumstances strongly influence properties of a plasma environment. Among others, two direct consequences of plasma-surface interactions are: the anomalous transport phenomena of transient species in free plasma jets, i.e. in plasma expansions, and the formation of molecules on walls from recombination of atomic radicals
