Samenvatting

We present a goal-oriented error estimator for steady fluid-structure-interaction problems. As a model problem, we consider steady incompressible flow in a 2D channel with a flexible segment. We introduce the reference domain approach where the fluid problem on the variable domain is transformed to a fixed reference-domain. This allows the formulation of an appropriate dual problem. The dual solution is then used in the evaluation of the error estimate, as usual. We perform numerical experiments employing the error estimate in an adaptive mesh refinement procedure.
