Samenvatting

Formation of non-reacting diesel sprays, resulting from fuel injection through a realistic heavyduty multi-hole common rail injector, is studied in the Eindhoven High Pressure Cell ( lled with N2at room temperature). Gas and rail pressure are varied between Pg = 13􀀀37 bar (/ ??g = 15􀀀42kg m􀀀3) and Prail = 750 􀀀 1500 bar. Dependences of spray penetration and spray cone angle ongas and rail pressure are studied.
