Samenvatting
Consumers are able to make use of a vast amount of mobility-related services, via mobile apps. For each of these apps, consumers are required to download, and sign-in separately. As a response to this complexity, Mobility-as-a-Service (Maas) platforms emerged which integrate multiple mobility service providers. These platforms present consumers with a variety of mobility service providers. Consumers then choose one of the mobility services. So far, little is known about consumers’ preference for service providers within MaaS platforms. We designed an online survey asking respondents about the influence of several service attributes on their preferences for mobility providers in MaaS platforms. Using factor analysis we identify the different consumers’ viewpoints regarding mobility service attributes. The results of our study can support the design of mobility services’ business models to achieve differentiation within MaaS platforms. This can improve adoption of such services and thereby help capture value for consumers, businesses and could contribute to livable cities.
