Samenvatting

We present a numerical procedure to investigate the behavior of the electromagnetic field inside a mode-stirred chamber in a computationally efficient way. The procedure is based on an integral equation method which accounts for the full scattering details of the problem. The computational complexity of the problem is reduced by introducing an artificial cylinder enclosing the stirrer. On this cylinder, equivalent current sources are defined according to Love's principle. In this way we can compute the interaction of the stirrer and cylinder separately from the interaction of the cylinder and the chamber, which is important when a design trajectory of a mode-stirred chamber is required. A further reduction of the computational complexity is achieved by modeling the cylinder as a body of revolution.
