Samenvatting

This work addresses the challenges related to preparation of well-adhered and uniform silica coatings inside closed capillary channels suitable for catalyst deposition inside microreactors. The variation of the coating parameters and properties of coating solution rendered microreactors coated with several silica loadings. The most critical aspect of coating is the maintenance of film regularity during and after displacement of coating fluid. The uniformity of the coating thickness is greatly affected by the ability to maintain coating parameters such as coating velocity, temperature and solvent evaporation rate constant during and after displacement of coating solution.
