Samenvatting

The aesthetic experience is one of the MDA model components that can be used to guide the projects of all elements in a digital game. The game’s avatar is the heart of the player and digital game interaction. The videogames, which interaction occurs trough a visual interface, can instruct players about their objectives and challenges trough the game narrative. The avatar’s mechanics, based in the rule set, complements the information to the player, indicating to him what actions are given by the game system. These actions are associated to the capacity and the way that the avatar notices, react and adapt in the game in function of your interaction with other characters and game objects. Therefore, given the importance of the avatar in the context of providing aesthetics experience in a game, this article describes the elaboration process of the ANEDIMA protocol for the videogame’s avatar analysis considering both its appearance and behavior in the game.
