Samenvatting

Structural glass is gaining importance in building practice at fast pace. However, in spite of Europe's pole position in research and new developments in this field, research lacks coordination and cooperation, and Structural Glass is usually not incorporated yet in academic engineering and architectural educational programmes. COST Action TU0905 "Structural glass: Novel design methods and next generation products" succeeded in establishing a strong scientific network on a European level and in addressing current needs in this field. In this contribution, a short overview is given of the main activities of the Action, illustrating its great success and current "outstanding" evaluation by the TUD Domain Committee, by which COST Action TU0905 is considered a "success story".
