Samenvatting

This chapter analyses the extent to which recent trends in governance are
likely to contribute to an encompassing industrial transformation. These trends are (1) the emergence and involvement of non-governmental actors in the policy process, (2) the development and introduction of new instruments, and (3) the growing importance of the international and the subnational level of policy-making.
