Samenvatting

Model-oriented power system studies have been a common practice for decades. However the validity of these models has been a matter of controversy. This paper presents a practical approach to investigate the appropriateness of the Dutch transmission model for voltage dips assessments. The measurements from power quality monitors in medium, high and extra high voltage (MV, HV and EHV) networks for three actual voltage dip events are compared with the simulated values to cast light on the level of trust to the model. The statistical analysis of the results shows that the mean error of the model is 5%, with [-0.07, 0.18] (in p.u.) confidence bound using two-sigma confidence interval.
