Samenvatting

In this paper, an extension is presented of the existing cell mapping methods, which is termed multi degrees of freedom cell mapping (MDCM). Unlike regular cell mapping methods, the MDCM method can be applied to systems of many degrees of freedom, while restricting the CPU-time and memory demands to acceptable amounts. The general concept of MDCM is explained and a corresponding algorithm is presented. Application of the MDCM method is performed to a four degrees of freedom beam system
