Samenvatting

The project goal was design and implementation of proof-of-concept for two systems that aim to tackle the blind spot problem of for the commercial vehicles: Blind Spot Detection and Passive Lane Change Assist functions. The system implementation was done using Rapid Control Prototype (RCP) hardware. This report can be divided onto two parts. The first part of the report gives an overview of the blind spot problem and sets goals, scope and planning of the project. The next part gives an overview of the functional design and testing. The report ends with conclusions summarizing the results of the proof-of-concept project.
