Samenvatting

Reports on ecology of house dust mites I. The removal of house dust mites by vacuuming. The efficiency of mite removal by vacuuming is much less and not comparable to the efficacy of the cleaning apparatus towards anorganic or organic particles of similar size. In this experiment pieces of carpets inoculated with mites were vacuumed 30 times. The remaining mites were removed with the "heat-escape method".
