Samenvatting

This paper discusses several aspects of RF energy harvesting and transport. Powering by means of dedicated RF radiation is the preferred option for wireless sensors. We may optimize the transmit antenna pattern and by choosing the correct rectifier components and optimizing antenna impedance matching efficiency, RF-to-DC power conversion efficiency and - if applicable - voltage boost power efficiency we may increase the operational distance over which we may power these sensors.
