The Visual Advice Centre Eindhoven (VAC-E) is specialised in the rehabilitation of visually impaired persons with visual aids and illumination. Half a year after their last visit to the centre patients are contacted by telephone or by letter to enquire after their visual functioning and the use of the prescribed aids. This enquiry has become a regular part of the VAC's method of working. This paper give the results of the enquiry for a group of 250 patients. More than 80 % of the aids prescribed are used regularly and are valued from moderate to very good.
