Samenvatting

Artificial magnetic conductors (AMCs) are the focus of a lot of studies, mainly due to their in-phase reflection property. In most cases, the AMC is designed for normal incident plane waves only. In a lot of applications, however, the AMC will also be excited by oblique incident plane waves. In general, the resonance frequency of the AMC changes for different angles of incidence and different polarizations. In this work, a design procedure for an AMC having a stable resonance frequency as function of angle of TM plane waves is presented. It is shown that the AMC is stable for TM plane waves up to angles of grazing incidence.
