Samenvatting

Additive manufacturing (AM) is the process of joining building material layer by layer to make a product from a three-dimensional digital representation. It is also commonly called 3D printing. This project provides a software architecture for next generation 3D printers. At its current status, the software architecture supports three different machines and proves that adding and removing machines to it is done with no or minimal effect to the other involved components. The software architecture has four software modules among which the design and implementation of the first software module is in scope of this project. A working prototype of the Recipe Maker is discussed.
