In this system, tbe Intonation Meter, visual feedback of intonation is given as a continuous representation of the pitch contour containing only tbe perceptually relevant aspects of tbe pattem of intonation. An explorative study was carried out to determine the usability of the Intonation Meter for teaching intonation to prelingually, profoundly deaf children. Preliminary data, collected with a smalI number of children, indicate that the system can be an important instructional tooi for teaching intonation. Suggestions for increasing the usability of the system are given.",
