Samenvatting

In this note we give a formula for the Taylor coefficients of F(¿) = det(I + ¿V), where V is a Jacobi matrix with exponentially decaying elements, in terms of the Rogers-Szegö polynomials. The function F and the matrix V arise in the study of the convergence behaviour of certain adaptive filters.
