Samenvatting
¿The increasing demand for high data rates combined with today’s fast CMOS process opens new opportunities in the 60GHz frequency range.
¿Phased arrays are typically used to compensate the high path loss at mm-waves. However, the resulted high power consumption is not acceptable in today’s mobile platform.
¿As the first block in the receiver, the LNA should amplify the signal with minimized NF. Achieving low NF and sufficient gain with stringent power constraint is challenging at mm-waves.
