Circular Plastics Network for training

Bringing plastics into the circular economy is one of the great challenges of our age. C-PlaNeT lays the foundations for a New Plastics Economy through a European Joint Doctoral Programme that trains 15 Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) to become part of a new generation of scientists, engineers and policy makers for the EU’s circular economy, which must include the design, processing, use and reuse of plastics. The objective of the ESR at Eindhoven University of Technology is to design new business models for circular plastics to stimulate their market adoption. We will build on best practices from existing business models for circular plastics as well as circular-economy business models from other sectors. Additionally, existing stakeholders in the plastics industry as well as future intra- and inter-industry stakeholders needed for operating these business models will be thoroughly analyzed. Political as well as other contextual influences on the business model design will be researched.

C-PlaNeT is a consortium of high-profile universities, research institutions and companies located in Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Denmark and Greece.
