Research profile
Xianglong Tang works as a Ph.D. Candidate in the Information Systems in the Built environment (ISBE) group of Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). He is currently designing and developing a planning support system (PSS) utilizing semantic web technologies.
His research interests include land use planning, walking behaviors, urban heat island (UHI), and physical simulations. He's designing and developing a planning support system (PSS) based on linked data approach to assist multiple stakeholders in collaboratively creating senior-friendly walking neighborhoods under harsh weather conditions.

Academic background
Xianglong Tang earned his MEng degree in Urban and Rural Planning from the School of Architecture at Southwest Jiaotong University in Chengdu, China, in June 2023, following his BEng degree in the same field from Sichuan Agricultural University, also in Chengdu, in June 2020. Currently, he is a Ph.D. researcher in the Information Systems in the Built Environment group, where he is developing a planning support system (PSS) to support stakeholders in making informed decisions for senior-friendly walking environments in response to global climate change.
