Research profile

Samuel is a doctoral researcher in the building performance chair at Eindhoven University of Technology. His research focusses on computational analyses and optimisation of innovative shading systems and is supervised by Prof. dr.ir J. Hensen and ir. R. Loonen. The goal of Samuel's doctoral research project is to develop an analyses and optimisation framework which will assist whole-building performance prediction of innovative shading systems as well as provide support in tackling conflicting performance objectives in the development of such systems.

Samuel holds a bachelor's degree in building sciences and a master's degree in architecture from Delft University of Technology. He was worked as a computational designer and architect for architectural firms as well as a consultant in the fields of energy, sustainability and building physics.
