Paria Mansourinezhad received her B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tabriz, Tabriz, Iran, in 2018, and her M.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic), Tehran, Iran, in 2021. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology, Eindhoven, The Netherlands.
Her research interests include neurostimulation, biomedical signal processing, and machine learning.
Paria Mansourinezhad is currently working on Temporal Interference (TI) Stimulation, an innovative non-invasive brain stimulation technique designed to target deep brain regions. TI Stimulation operates by applying multiple electric fields to the brain at slightly different high frequencies, which are individually too high to induce effective neural firing. However, the resulting envelope frequency is low enough to modulate neural activity. This method, as demonstrated in the literature, allows for the precise targeting of brain tissues in specific areas without affecting neighboring or overlying cortex. During her Ph.D., she is interested in investigating the effectiveness of TI stimulation technique in modulating neural activity in the targeted brain tissue.
