Nathaly Yumi da Silva is a Doctoral Candidate at the Technology, Innovation and Society (TIS) group. In her work at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), da Silva focuses on investigating agency and sustainable discourses within actors affected by soybean expansion in Brazil. Her research is part of a larger research project entitled “SoyStories: Connected sustainability histories and futures of the global Soyacene”; which is a collaboration among the History Lab - Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), Athena Institute - Vrij Universiteit Amsterdam (VU), and Universidade Federal Fronteira Sul (UFFS) - Brazil.
Academic background
Nathaly da Silva did her undergraduate studies in Brazil on Dance Studies. In 2022, she received her master’s degree cum laude in Culture Studies - Art and Media Studies at Tilburg University (NL).
