Luyi Xu is a postdoctoral researcher in the chair of Smart Architectural Technologies at the Department of Built Environment. Since October 2020, she works on the "Data-driven Optimization of Renovation Concepts" project. Luyi's research within the project focuses on user-centered design and behavioral modeling for residential buildings. The project is a part of the IEBB (Integrale Energietransitie Bestaande Bouw) innovation program.
Luyi obtained her doctoral degree at Eindhoven University of Technology, the Department of Built Environment. Her dissertation presented the development of a modeling and simulation approach with the focus of systematic quality assurance to support decision making in designing new generation district heating and cooling system.
