Research profile
Jos Maubach is an assistant professor with the Centre for Analysis, Scientific Computing, and Applications (CASA) which combines all activities related to analysis at the department of Mathematics and Computer Science. Its major research objective is to develop new and improve existing mathematical (both analytical and numerical) methods for a wide range of applications in science and engineering. This area of research is commonly known as Computational Science and Engineering (IAM-CSE).
Academic background
Jos Maubach studied Mathematics at Radboud University Nijmegen (the Netherlands) where he obtained his MSc in 1986 with the distinction cum laude. He then started his PhD research at the same university and obtained his doctorate in 1991 with his thesis 'Iterative methods for non-lineair partial differential equations'. In 1998, Jos Maubach was appointed at Eindhoven University of Technology where he currently is an assistant professor with the Centre for Analysis, Scientific Computing, and Applications (CASA) at the department of Mathematics and Computer Science.
