Academic background
José Núñez Kasaneva was born in 1997 in Calama, Chile. He received a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (Ingeniero Civil Eléctrico) and an MSc. in Electrical Engineering, both from Universidad de Concepción (UDEC), Chile, in 2021 and 2022, respectively. Since 2024, he has been a PhD student at Eindhoven University of Technology, Netherlands.
Research profile
José Núñez Kasaneva is a Ph.D. student in the Information and Communication Theory Lab (ICT Lab) within the Signal Processing Systems (SPS) group. His research focuses on using digital signal processing for advanced coded modulation schemes for high-performance metro-access optical transponders. The project is part of the European Doctoral Training Network “NESTOR”.
