Annemieke Vennix is a researcher with the Eindhoven School of Education. She is investigating outreach and student motivation in the K-12 STEM field, focusing in particular on the teachers’ roles and the connection between industry and school. In addition, she is a teacher educator in both the master and minor program at the Eindhoven School of Education. She is responsible for the pilot ‘leeratelier’, an alternative route for teacher education in a professional learning community.
Annemieke (Johanna) Vennix studied Chemistry at Leiden University, where she obtained her MSc in 1989. From 1989 until 1995 she was a researcher at Leiden University. In 1995 she started as a Physics teacher. From 1998 until 2012, she was a teacher at Christiaan Huygens College secondary school in Eindhoven. In 2011, she joined the Eindhoven School of Education at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) as a Physics teaching methodologist and, since 2012, as a researcher. From 2015 until October 2018 she was coordinator of the Transfer Office at Heerbeeck College secondary school in Best. Annemieke Vennix was an editor at the Nederlands Tijdschrift voor Natuurkunde (NTvN) from 2010 until 2016. From 2011 until 2018 she was a writer of textbooks at Noordhoff/EPN publishers.
In 2015 stemden de VN-lidstaten in met 17 wereldwijde duurzame ontwikkelingsdoelstellingen (Sustainable Development Goals, SDG's) om armoede te beëindigen, de planeet te beschermen en voor iedereen welvaart te garanderen. Het werk van deze persoon draagt bij aan de volgende duurzame ontwikkelingsdoelstelling(en):
