Research profile
Hamza is a PhD researcher within the Mobile Perception Systems lab. His research focuses efficient deep learning approaches for perception using 4D imaging radar. His research interests include radar perception, edge-based machine learning, and embedded systems.
Academic background
Hamza obtained his MPhil from Cambridge University in 2023, where he was a member of the Physical Computation Laboratory. His thesis was on training Physics-informed Neural Networks using data collected from physical experiments.
From October 2023 till March 2024, he worked as a visiting researcher within the Accelerated Connected Computing Laboratory (ACCL) at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST).
He obtained his BS in Computer Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM). His graduation project was on implementing an hardware-optimized version of the k-means clustering algorithm for image segmentation, targeting deployment within FPGAs.
