Research profile

Fardin Dashty Saridarq is PhD student in the OPAC group of the department of Industrial Engineering and Innovation Sciences at the Eindhoven University of Technlogy. He received his master degree from Industrial Engineering Department at the Sabanci University (Istanbul). He holds a B.Sc. in Information Technology Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran.

His research is mainly focused on Freight Transport and Logistics. Currently, he is working on ‘Multi-Echelon Distribution Networks in City Logistics’ where the main focus of his research in on strategic and tactical level planning problems that arise in multi-echelon distribution systems.

His master’s thesis research addressed the ‘Workload Balancing in Transportation Crew Scheduling’.  The underlying problem is to determine the level and allocation of crew resources in such a way that the allocation of the workload among the crew members is acceptably fair.
