Charlotte Stix is a PhD researcher at the department of Philosophy and Ethics at the Eindhoven University of Technology. Her research critially explores the intersection of the ethics, governance and regulation of artificial intelligence (AI).
In the prior decade, Charlotte held positions as a researcher at the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence (University of Cambridge), coordinator of the High Level Expert Group on Artificial Intelligence, advisor on European AI policy to Element AI, and as a policy officer to the World Future Council advocating for rights of future generations in front of international governments.
In the context of her work, Charlotte has been awarded as a Forbes 30 under 30 (Europe), invited to serve as expert to the World Economic Forum's Global Future Council on Neurotechnology and named as a Young Global Shaper by the World Economic Forum.
She holds a Master of Science from the London School of Economics where she focussed on cognitive sciences, advanced set theory and the ethics of emerging technologies. Previously, her studies focussed on philosophy, economics and European Union law.
