Research profile
Azahara Luna-Triguero is an Assistant Professor in the section Energy Technology at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). She studies physico-chemical properties of porous crystalline materials (MOFs, COFs, Zeolites) for energy applications using classical molecular simulation techniques. Her main research interests are the adsorption-based capture and purification of valuable chemicals and adsorption-based thermochemical energy storage.
Academic background
Azahara Luna-Triguero obtained her degree in physics at the University of Córdoba (Spain) in 2014. In 2019, she was awarded her PhD degree in University Pablo de Olavide (Seville, Spain) with cum laude distinction. Her thesis dissertation ¨Molecular Simulation on the Adsorption of Olefins and Paraffins in Porous Crystalline Materials¨ has been recognised for the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry as one of the best thesis of the academic course 2018-2019. From September 2020 she is assistant professor in the group of Energy Technology at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e).
